Thread: Wild Arms 3 OST

    Default Wild Arms 3 OST

Is anyone here a fan of it?
The music on that soundtrack is really sensational.
Within the game itself, it brings out the old western feel, along with a mystical, magical emotion.
The Claiborne and Baskar Colony themes are two of my most favorites.
Does anyone have the same outlook on this great soundtrack as I do?

Love it. It took a couple of listens to really sink in, but man..Once it's there, it stays there. Michiko Naruke really knows her stuff. Without question, it's the best overall RPG soundtrack (for me, at least) and the fact that the soundtrack is put together correctly (unlike the soundtracks for Wild Arms 1 and 2) only sweetens the deal. The music from the dragon fights get me everytime I listen to it-Hell, disc 3 was worth the full price of the soundtrack itself.

I just think the worst part about it was the game it was for was so tedious to play through. Unlike Wild Arms 2, a lot of dungeons use the same 2-3 themes, so I was getting tired of hearing some of them about 60 hours in. And the battle theme...Love it, but it's a piece of music I never want to hear in my lifetime again. Plus some of the great ones, like track 15 on disc 3, are really underutilized ingame. It says a lot when a soundtrack is good enough to outclass the game it's for (Legend of Mana would be the only other example to spring to mind)

I did a review on it awhile back. Look under the 'W' reviews here: www.chudahs-corner.com

Yeah I really like this soundtrack too. However I am not too keen on the vocal stuff on it. My favourites are 'the end of the beginning', 'black as sin, red as blood'. I was really disappointed when I got this soundtrack, however, as I bought it full price from eBay (around ú30) and it turned out to be a bootleg copy by smile face or something... even thought I enquired about this before buying and I was assured it was an original jap CD. The scum!

Michiko Naruke is simply sensational, when the first time i heard ~Into the wilderness~ Wild Arms 1 opening theme,i have fallen in love with his Brilliant music composition, there are a lot of themes who touch my heart;like-Funeral March on WA1,or Marina's Plight On WA2. In WA3 i think the music is a bit changed but the same style, sincerely its wonderful, i recomend to all WA fans to buy the OST cd's.
