Would anyone know if Sakimoto or any other Japanese composer has ever discussed "Adaptive Music"? In speaking to professors about my thesis, this approach to game music composition is something I think was conceptualized here in the West. I'm not a big fan of the idea of adaptive music as I believe it takes away from the quality of the music, and begins to have the same limits as in film music, but I'd like to know if Sakimoto and others know anything about it.
