So, who's already pre ordered Rockman X 1-6?

I just pre ordered mine this morning, I can't wait till it comes out :D

Rockman X is the game that got me into game music, I used to record it from the tv with a tape recorder :)

Done and done, along with a copy of X7. Man, I can't wait for October 1st...Hopefully Capcom won't delay the release of X7's OST any further.

Sad part is, if Capcom had pushed Rockman music back in the 90's (like Falcom did with Ys, or Konami did with Dracula or Square did with Final Fantasy) it would probably be much more viable as a source of music today, as opposed to nostalgia-I like the Rockman tunes better than any of the other three and I certainly wouldn't balk at the thought of Rockman Battle Perfect Selection or Rockman Piano Collection or Rockman Perfect Collection: Special Arranged by Ryo Yonemitsu. I'm hoping that maybe now the floodgates will open and we'll see the rest of the Rockman games get soundtrack releases (or better yet, full arrangements...).

Yup, It's probably better for Suleputer and Capcom to delay the release to X7 after X 1~6. It would probably make some more money if it were too sell right after the first 6 Soundtracks. It would have been cool to have it a little earlier though :roll:.

Wow, I've heard so much hype over the new Rockman X CD's, but I never had a big interest in it. But now, I may have changed my mind. I don't want to miss out on more potential VGM goodness, so I may order it sooner or later. :)

I tried bidding on a rockman x soundtrack on EBAY long ago and was outbid by like $40 and the cd only had a few tracks, so a box set for about fiftysomething $ or some yen is quite a deal! I preordered the rockman 1-6, and the rockmanX 1-6 as soon as I found out it was possible. I imagine they are very colectable. I am not a true "OTAKU" or professional game connoisseur or even a collector but I will proceed with buying this amazing music composed by our Eastern brethren. I would also purchase any rockman album that is remixed, arranged, rearranged, performed live ect because the music has been stuck in some of our heads since we were 7! its that catchy.

Actually, on the Rockman Battle and Chase track, the theme song has an arrangement in piano.

Rockman X had no official release before this other than Rockman X Alfa Lyra, which was an arranged album. This box set is the OST, so you are getting the songs from the game, not an arrangement.

Hi Eroil, Yes the CD I attempted to buy was in fact the rockman X arrange album by an Alfa Lyra band. I also bid on a Rockman Racing game soundtrack that had a current bid of about $50. pretty sure that it was not an arrange album but still good music I'd bet. I did not even know there was a Rockman racing game! in any event I would still be happy to shell out some cash for megaman music arranged or not. sometimes the original is even better than the arrange like "Flash mans" theme, I thought the original song from the 8bit nes game was better than the arrange version. Just my opinion though.

The Rockman Battle & Chase soundtrack is excellent and I highly recommend it.

My friend ordered 3 Rockman X1-6 sets from CocoeBiz.. one for me, one for him, and one for another friend of mine. I also plan to pre-order the Rockman X7 OST from here very soon (Rockman music + Iwadare = :D).

Also, I'd buy any Rockman arranged album if such albums are ever released.. especially something similar to the hard rock style found in the Dracula Battle CDs!

Rockman Battle and chase (the racing game) has all new themes for the characters, but they are in the spirit of Rockman music. If you can find it, it is recommended, as XLord said.

I still listen to my Rockman X 1-6 boxset all the time. I see it as one of the best music investments I have ever made.
