Many of you have known Vocaloid series (even I knew it in 2005!), but when Crypton Japan released it they combined it and anime/seiyuu (voice actress/actor). That's Miku Hatsune. She's got much popularity via niconico douga (Japan's video streaming site, now as big as Youtube), and finally a game company decided to feature her voice in their games. For some reasons it's Basiscape they hired - known for its orchestral creativity rather than anime songs.

I've half neglected this news as I doubted Sakimoto would ever compos it, but now a sample is online. Part of the background plausibly sounds like his, otherwise don't. I don't know. Maybe Sakimoto happens to do something he thinks is poppy, or Basiscape employees imitate his style. Personally, the more I listen to it the more I feel there is something different or lame. Anyways, my speculation is useless.

This is an Abe composition I am fairly sure.

Yeah especially this sleigh bell-like percussion really reminds me of Abe's distinctive marching snare drums in Grim Grimore or Odin Sphere.

Maybe Sakimoto isn't involved in this production as suspected.

Oops.

Too late to say, but the game itself isn't score by Sakimoto or Basiscape. Only those Miku Hatsune songs.
