Not officially announced, but some of you must be convinced of who'd work on this game :-p

This game is literally translated as Valkyria of Battlefield.

It seems the direct link to the gamevideos.com is invalid. Please copy the URL and paste it in your browser's address form. The music included in the former video is more convincing (it really sounds as if it were from FFXII and does have the same segments here and there) :-p
This game is developed by Sakura Wars team, but the composer won't be Kohei Tanaka.

With instrument samples are nearly the same, some familiar countermelodies here and there, and the overall orchestration... I am 95% sure that this is a Sakimoto song.
I'm referring to the second link. I haven't completed downloading the first link.
If it's true then it would be exciting news. Finally the first (second if you count Opoona in) next-gen project!

The first video was the only one I watched, and that was an absolute dead ringer for Sakimoto imo.

Officially announced.
What if VGM composers work on NextGen console nonetheless. CD-DA is 2ch, hence few bother to try 5.1 or 7.1.

As posted above, Sakimoto scoring this game was already revealed by the developer in the magazine (on an unrelated not, it was a Hentai magazine), but the latest issue of Famitsu says besides this Eminence is once again hired.
Based on the already revealed stuff which comes off as synthetic, however, I'd doubt the orchestra will be featured throughout a soundtrack, as well as Sakimoto will end up being solo.

Here's a new video of this game.

I wish the guy would shut the hell up, though. :D

There IS an orchestra playing during in the middle part of the first trailer. The music sounds very Sakimoto-ish but I can't make sure it is Sakimoto's.

Well, if I counted right that trailer had about 8 different BGM tracks. All were definitely Sakimoto except the first and last tracks, which I can't say for sure. The first reminds me more of Iwata.
This game actually looks kind of interesting.
Ovelia, did you mean a live orchestra? Because if so, that trailer Pastor linked to has no live orchestral music. I am unclear if you meant a different trailer on that same page?

Oh I meant the trailer Lierre posted in the first place. :D So I guess Eminence is involved, but I cannot make sure just judging from that trailer because the sound quality is not high enough. The recording seems less likely to be a Japanese studio recording though. :D

While melodically strong and memorable, nothing but another FFXII. This is what I've always thought of this score since the very first trailer. I'd say even any of his 2007 to 2008 works doesn't sound so much similar to FFXII as this is. I, for one, have no problem with any composer creating the same thing again and again, as long as it's good, and I actually much prefer his FFXII style to most. However, people in general, especially when they're not a fan of him, will mind such a derivative nature of the score. So visiting threads for this score and reading general reactions won't make me so happy.

I've read some reactions to the music in the game and it's largely favorable, but they also notice the FFXII similarity. Anyway I regard this as the specific direction of the development team.
Lierre did you play the game and notice any non-Sakimoto compositions? I only watched trailers and other people play as I don't have a PS3 myself and I am not planning to buy one :(

Aside from Kamikura and Abe those people probably aren't involved with composing right?
I searched some of their names and Natsumi Kameoka orchestrates with Eminence, Miki Ito seems to be a voice actor, and Masaaki Kaneko seems to have worked on sound effects/design on ICO.

"Valkyria's Omen" is maybe the farthest from his signature, aside of the volume dynamics and timpani hit at around 1:30.
