The Radiant Silvergun, Vagrant Story, and FFT ost's were all re-issued in recent years. Is there any difference between the re-issues and the originals? was the sound quality improved, or any additional content added?

I cannot speak to fact, but as far as I know the actual audio tends to be identical. This should be the case for each of those soundtracks.
The only time I've seen differences with reprints are in special cases, such as certain Digicube releases. For example, the original Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon OST (Digicube) had bonus tracks on an extra CD; the Square-Enix reprint however does not.
I've got the original Digicube prints of the FFT and VS OSTs, and there doesn't appear to be anything that would be omitted from a reprint (i.e., no bonus discs). I can't be as certain about RS as I only have the 2004 print, but I'm guessing it's identical to the 1998 print.

According to Fatigue, the reprinted VS soundtrack is actually remastered and sounds far worse but as I had had only the DigiCube version (with many scratchs I had to throw it away) and don't purchase the SE version yet, I can't talk about it either.
The biggest difference between the two FFT soundtracks I notice is in a more physical direction. I mean, the Digicube-published FFT soundtrack had a better case and was packaged in a paper box with a trading card and a poster. Also, I suspect the reprinted VS and FFTA got somehow cheapened in the same way. However, these are too small to fuss about.
FIY, since the reprinted Stella Deus soundtrack is no longer a copy-protected CD, it can sound better as long as you has always listened to the initial print on CD players.

Wasn't that 8cm CD just a first press bonus?

Some people say it sounds way better than the original, but as like you, I can't say my opinion, because I haven't heard it.

Ah, thanks for the information, probably should get this one now then.

Could be. I only have the reprint.
