Star Ocean 1 Original Soundtrack

Is there any information on this future release? Is it truly an OST, a reprint of the Star Ocean Perfect Sound Collection, an "upgraded" soundtrack along the lines of the Star Ocean tracks from last year's Star Ocean/Valkyrie Profile: The Best compilation, or something else entirely?

I hope it's actually an SO1 OST and not just a reprint of the PC.

I'm sure it will be a remastering of the original Star Ocean music, since it was done on the Super Nintendo or should I say Super Famicom sound base.

I am so excited for the Star Ocean 1 Original Soundtrack. Star Ocean 1 is my very favorite game, Motoi Sakuraba is my very favorite composer, and lastly, the Star Ocean [1] Perfect Sound Collection is my favorite album. I am delighted that it isn't a reprint of the Perfect Sound Collection (that can always happen later =p)

The question regarding what the CD actually consist of had been answered in a different thread already, but seeing how this thread keeps being pushed to the top I guess it's better to clarify it here as well. =)

The two disk CD set won't be a reprint of the arranged CD but an original soundtrack of the score in Star Ocean (SFC/1996, yes, an OST to a now 8 years old game ;). It won't be based on the sound of the actual SFC, but a recording using an up to date MIDI synth according to TEAM Entertainment's news and also described this way on CocoeBiz's Upcoming Releases list. I am assuming that the sound quality will be similar to the Star Ocean tracks included on the SO&VP The Best CD, which in my opinion sounds different enough to be considered rearranged compared to the "original" sound of it. I'm looking forward to hearing it especially since the selection of Star Ocean tracks on SO&VP The Best wasn't what I personally consider the best. ;)

Btw. both TEAM Entertainment and Sakuraba's Japanese site mention that there is a new concert planned for the upcoming summer, no more specific info given at this point though.

Thank god. There are so many songs that need to be in concert format that aren't related to SO or VP at all.

Anything from his Gikyokuonsou album to the AWESOME music on the Shining the Holy Ark OST. I wonder what it will be?

Also, I can't wait to hear what "New Human Race" sounds like on the new OST.
