Making an order, I began to wonder about the costs of the different payment methods for the seller. I would assume PayPal costs are higher than the costs for a debit/credit card payment. IPMOs and cash might have costs for cashing the IPMO or depositing US$ into a Japanese bank. So, which is the cheapest for CocoeBiz? Just got curious...

Send CocoeBiz Japanese Yen. heh

What makes Paypal popular with merchants is that its transaction fees are lower than credit cards.

Hi :)

Thank you for considering about payments.

Paypal sure takes very high fees, and it's higher than credit card fees.
When we cash Money orders and other currency, at the post office and the banks, they also have their own rates, so it is calculated at a lower daily rate. Now, it's around 105.50 to 1US$, but we can only get around 102.50~103.50 to 1US$, so it is actually a high fee when it comes to changing into Yen.

I actually lost a lot from sales last November since the Yen dropped lower than that, like 108yen from 117yen.

That hurt me alot...! Um, and it's around 105Y to 1$...
Well, I guess that's an unavoidable risk with selling internationally..

Haha, yes, sending me Jp. yen is good thing, I guess!

Oh really?

In the U.S., credit card fees transactions are often higher than Paypal's. Otherwise, Paypal would not be a popular option.

I'm sure Kahori has a Premier or Business PayPal account for which there are indeed quite high fees.
