Xenosaga II In game OST

It disgusts me that Mr Hosoes work hasn't been released, I love the music he did for the game, and I would pay well over 100 dollars if need to be to receive a copy of his works, that is how much I love them, and how badly I yearn to own them...I hope that there is a release somewhere along the line...

Unfortunately, not everybody thinks what you think, Raven_Eros :(. Quite a large number of people thought the contrary (they loved Kajiura's work and absolutely hated Hosoe's). I would like to see an OST release, but I'm guessing that the music won't see enough interest (or sales) to go through with a print. :(

*Sigh* Unfortuanatley I have had to live with this fact for awhile *sigh* My ex GF was one of those people *rolls eyes* Hosoe is a composer of what I see as the type of music for hardcore gamers, Kajiura is for more of an Otaku fanbase that like Anime style composing instead...I of course am an Otaku, but I am a gamer first, I love Hosoes work...and I really hope more people step up and show that a release could have financial backing!

I don't think Hosoe's XS2 work was all that great, but it was decent, and I would certainly pay $30-$40 for a CD of it.

I wish there was an official in-game OST of Xenosaga II as well. But since that's unlikely to happen, we'll just have to find ways to cope. Personally, I did manage to track down a rip of the in-game music tracks, but I really wish we could get something official.

I also enjoyed the in-game music for Xenosaga II. The mech battle and final battle music were my favorite tracks.

I love Subconscious Domain (Summer), it randomly gets stuck in my head and I haven't played Xenosaga II since it first came out. This soundtrack really needs to be officially released. I loved the in-game music, but found the movie score soundtrack rather boring.

I agree that XS2s BGM deserves full release. I was excited to buy the soundtrack until I realized that it was only the movie scenes. I think people who are not okay with fairly short, looping, electronic music should really reconsider the nature of gaming music and how it in many cases needs to be different from music found in films.

Not to say anything disparaging, it's just that Hosoe's work on the soundtrack was rather simplistic. That, however, led a whole new warmth to it. Still, it did sound rather similar to material from the Star Ocean ~ Till the End of Time soundtrack.

I apologize, was that last paragraph difficult to follow? Well, let me put it simply: I'd like to see an official hard copy print of Shinji Hosoe's work on the Xenosaga II soundtrack.

I've only gotten through about the first two hours of the game (the first two hours that you actually play, not including the movie sequences backed by the music of Yuki Kajiura), and I'm liking the themes he did, namely for Moby Dick's Cafe, and the Uzuki Residence. I am assuming of course, that the rest of the music, that wasn't on the soundtrack print, is Mr. Hosoe's work.
