This thread is where you can tell us your views on Joe Hisaishi, and all the fantastic music he has written over the years at Studio Ghibli and elsewhere. What are your favorite albums of his?
Lately I have been listening to his recent Laputa: Castle in the Sky album that was done for the U.S. release of the movie. I just love the theme of the movie; it is so heroic and memorable.
List away your favorite albums of his!

Wow, this forum has been sitting in the dust, lol! In the summer I just got the Spirited Away soundtrack, which is my introduction to Joe. I love his usage of piano and I just ordered the Princess Monoke OST. I can't wait! I heard some samples and I had to get it. Also, I'm looking for the Parasite EVE soundtrack for the movie they made in Japan. Anyway, his orchestrations and his wonderful usagae of piano really captivates me! Greate anime composer!

This is a great soundtrack (if a bit short). You can get it at CD Japan:

I wonder ,even though it's not anime, if the sountrack to" A Scene At The Sea is available."

Yes, it was recently reprinted, but I read it has copy protection, so I for one refuse to buy it (that's about the only thing that would get me to refuse to buy a CD I otherwise wanted, really)
