I'm in the process of receiving this album and I have to say from the various samples I've heard, it has a chance to be one of Sakuraba's best. The game itself already looks great...
Any thoughts? Also, do the tracks loop this time around (I'm guessing not)

Some of the tracks loop a quarter to halfway. Though each song is roughly 2 to 3 minutes anyway. So, I mean, it's not too big a deal in this instance. I own both the game itself and the soundtrack, and both are on par with eachother - that is, they're both fantastic. I'm sure you'll like it.
House of Cards/Many-Storied Building of Sand (Disc 2, Track 3) is my favorite.

I don't have the game but I do think it is great and I just ordered the album. Though I have one question. Is the Battle theme and the Boss Battle theme on it? I do think they are, but sometimes a few pieces are missing so I just wanted to make sure. I don't know how many battle theme tracks there are on it, but in Tales of Symphonia there were various. Anyway, if there are Battle theme tracks on it, what are they called?
Thanks!

Compared to his recent releases, Baten Kaitos is definitely his most focused and 'cotrolled' work. You won't find a lot insane synth or prog-rock work here. But everything still feels good to listen to. I recommend it.
P.S. I LOVE the percussion work on this soundtrack.

The Baiten Kaitos soundtrack is...in a word...godly. I just purchased it earlier today as a matter of fact. I just can't get enough of it. The album can simply be described as tradition Sakuraba.......and there is nothing wrong with that at all. Battles themes like The true mirror are so unique and awe inspiring. But my favorite track on the album is most definitely Speaking with the Stars. It is one of the most powerful ending themes I have ever heard. Overall, the soundtrack is an instant classic and an instant gem. I dare say it might be his best composition yet. I highly recommend it to everyone.

I just got it, and I agree with all of you.
'The true mirror' is like, the best battle theme I've ever heard. Especially the guitar version.
I recommend this to everyone. Even my friends like it :o
This soundtrack is GREAT.
Even my friends like it.
Do your friends usually have bad taste in music or something?

It's just not their kind of music. They think it's stupid that I listen to gamemusic. I don't want to say they have bad taste, because everyone has its own kind of music. They might like some tracks but they won't admit it because it's gamemusic. It's from ***karaoke Japan!***
Don't ask me...
