For those that don't know, wikipedia is a free encyclopedia that encourages users to contribute to its articles. Some months ago I scoured the internet for information on Kenji Ito and was somewhat succcessful. Still, there wasn't very much information available when compared with say, Nobuo Uematsu.

Basically, I implore anyone with knowledge of mr Ito to contribute to this article in any way possible. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenji_Ito Remember, wikipedia can be editted by anyone even without an account.

Well, I bet you'd find a lot of Wikipedia stub pages about composers. Reason being that there wasn't as much information is solely because Ito isn't as popular as Uematsu. Only few composer pages on Wikipedia will have as much info as Uematsu. Come on, tell me I’m smart :p

Also, I certainly don't agree with this: "Kenji Ito is most well-known for his epic, rock-based battle themes".

Yeah, I've heard the 'Saga Frontier 2' soundtrack as well as 'Unlimited Saga', and I can't think of rock in any.

And I'd like to take this moment to say that, for those who haven't

LISTEN TO THE UNLIMITED SAGA OST NOW!

It's amazing. The quality of the instruments and the tunes are excellent. I just wish there were some suite tracks or arranged OST available.

...Except for one tiny little thing: SaGa Frontier 2 and UNLIMITED: SaGa were composed by Masashi Hamauzu and not Kenji Ito. COMPLETELY different styles when compared with each other.

Why does there have to be so many Saga games?

As usual, you are an idiot.

There are not really a lot of SaGa games:
- Makaitoshi SaGa (GameBoy, that is to say Final Fantasy Legend 1), music by Nobuo Uematsu
- SaGa 2 Hiho Densetsu (GB, FF Legend 2), music by Nobuo Uematsu and Kenji Ito
- Jikuu no Hasha SaGa 3 (GB, FF Legend 3), music by Ryuji Sasai and Chihiro Fujioka
- Romancing SaGa (SNES), music by Kenji Ito
- Romancing SaGa 2 (SNES), music by Kenji Ito
- Romancing SaGa 3 (SNES), music by Kenji Ito
- SaGa Frontier (PS), music by Kenji Ito
- SaGa Frontier 2 (PS), music by Masashi Hamauzu
- Unlimited SaGa (PS2), music by Masashi Hamauzu
- Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- (PS2, remake of the first RS), music by Kenji Ito and Tsuyoshi Sekito

Hope this helps!

As usual, you are an idiot.

So you disagree that they don't like to milk money?

They do, as every game company in the world. It does not go against creativity. You probably know that anyway the SaGa series is not a best-selling franchise, compared to Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest.

I never really said it was a bad thing, as you're assuming I did say :p But really, Square does go overboard with all the Final Fantasy accessories and mumbo jumbo, don't you agree? Now excuse me, I'm going to pick up my very own Final Fantasy XII Controller, Dirge of Cerberus and Final Fantasy figurines! :p

Wasn't there also a WSC version of this game?

Retorical question. I agree about milking money though. then again, what company doesn't. I listened to some of that Romancing Saga and I gotta say I wasn't that impressed.

Yes, there was (in march 2002). It was a complete remake in color!

You should listen to the three Romancing SaGa arranged albums: La Romance (1), Eternal Romance (2) and Windy Tale (3). The first one is mostly acoustic/French-styled. The two others are orchestral. Windy Tale, in particular, is a wonderful album (arranged by Taro Iwashiro!).
