Yo! Anyone know the set release date of the FF12 soundtrack? I need to get this soundtrack as soon as it's released. Well, we all do.

No set release date has been announced yet. I imagine it would be out sometime in Match next year.

I have a feeling that this soundtrack is going to put Mr. Sakimoto right on the map.

If Final Fantasy can put Uematsu on the map, then Sakimoto has a good chance. Though I think he was pretty big in the VGM world already (at least at most with the developers and designers).

Really? I think it'll just hype Uematsu more. There are still hundreds and hundreds of people who think Uematsu composed FFX and FFXI by himself. Don't be surprised when the FFXII midis start flowing in at vgmusic.com attritubed to Uematsu as the composer.
All we can hope is that, when the credits come up at the beginning, Sakimoto is made very apparent *and* is placed before Uematsu. Ideally, it should be something like...

I always include the most accurate information in my transcription midi. I won't allow anyone who links my HS sequence midi then write the org composer: NU, no way~~
But now my biggest surprise is that Square-Enix hired another composer to join the soundtrack, maybe only for one symphonic poem. (Since I'm Chinese, I can't romanize his Kanji name correctly)

Hmm, according to SQUAREMUSIC it's Tarô Hakase. Cool.

About that attribution...
there's one exception (at least), the victory fanfare-
org composer: NU, arranger: HS

I hope it does put Mr Sakimoto on the map so he too will could one day tour the states with a live show, plus a whole new realm of fanboys emerge..
This would cause more albums to be re-arranged, remixed, revamped, re-released, remastered and all the rest of the "re's" so I may have a large stack of Hitoshi C.D.s to parallel my Nobuo collection.

Knowing(?) Sakimoto, I never give it a huge hope. He seems not the type like release extra re-arrange from his old work. Even there's some, the arranger mostly would be another musician...

True...I do agree- even still, I love other peoples spins on great music. On sites like O.C.remixes I find myself liking other peoples versions better a lot of times.
(as fas as Sakimoto, I dont think one can improve perfection lol) but I always keep an open mind (and ear) for a good listen.
I still have that little glint of hope..(=

Yes, yes, YES! So that there would be an arranged 'FF:Tactics' album.

I don't know about anyone. I wasn't particularly impressed with the 'White - Melodies Of FFTA' soundtrack.

I've sent another PM Gem, cos I don't have a valid E-mail. Yours didn't work when I tried to reply (I'm taking it because it is in Japanese?).
