1. Is KiRite burning up?
Beautiful Eri Kawai voice introduces the song, for later hearing a 'Strange dimension' guitar. At 2'40'', the song calms ,and at 3'08''resounds the fretless bass that regives the relentless feel charactiristic in the song.
I would give this song a 17.6 out of 20.
2. The market in Volfinor.
A highlight in the album, a true master piece. With a myriad of instruments, and a later flute and violin combined harmonically. Ends with a calm piano.
Excellent song.
18.5 out of 20.
3. Promise with winds - Petal's whereabouts.
The highlight is the beautiful voice from Eri Kawai. accompanied by lots of strings and drums. Must hear.
18.2 out of 20.
4. The forest of Lapiz Lazuli.
Outsanding Shinobue, really sentimental melody. Great cymbals also. Gives you the feeling of actually being in 'Lapiz Lazuli'.
18.05 out of 20.
5. The Azure.
Nice violin and rytm. Every intrument is percievable. 12 string guitar, wind suzu, cymbal and door bell. Tin whistle accompanies well Eri Kawai's voice.
Nice overall.
17.1 out of 20.
6. Scorning blade.
Mitsuda does it again with his nice keyboard and programming. Plays really nice the bouzouki also. It ends with a simple yet effective piano.
17.0 out of 20.
7. Upon the melodies of the moon.
Pure chorus, pure Eri Kawai! Not sure if she did all with a re-sampling of some sort from Mitsuda.
17.2 out of 20.
8. Fated encounter - The fall of darkness.
WOW. Truely amazing. This song is one of the reasons Mitsuda can be considered a genius. It starts by playing some ahs, from Eri Kawai, and a aggressive guitar, while the bouzouki gives tha pace. At about 1'33'' the songs transforms into a silent Hummelchen (small german bag pipe), the strong guitar cuts through and a new instrument is added to the whole (an alto renaissance recorder), and another one (a violin), and another one (a beautiful tin whistle), and another one (bodhran, a celtic drum), and another one (Eri Kawai's voice). Excellent overall, at the end it just plays a beautiful armonic song that dives deep in unconsiousness. Truely exceptional cuasi-vita experience. It has some evil in it that's actually falling (hence the song's title). Perfect.

9. Nocturne.
Nice piano, and really impresive violin from Tsuboy(You can actually feel his face expresions while playing each note). The beginning is quite an hallucination guided by the violin. then the rythm stabilizes and the piano follows up as a more hindered violin. Piece of art.
19.9 out of 20.
10. As autumn passes away.
Nice synths, forgetable yet enjoyable melody. outlined is the bouzouki, leading the pack. Soft rythm.
17.0 out of 20.
11. The snow howling.
Smooth piece.
Nice sinths, and overall melody. Tsuboy does it again. Maybe the melody doesn't help him to much, but his performance is brilliant. Very soft rythm. I would have gone with an alternative to the battery guiding the melancholic melody. Nice overall.
16.7 out of 20.
12. Prayer tree.
Eventhough it's the worst song in the album, it is still a great piece.
I have to say the piano and electric guitar are monotonous, but it has a nice wild west synth alla' Guy Chambers(Robbie Williams' composer).Very peaceful.
15.3 out of 20.
13. The name of our hope.
Incredible song. It starts quite pop-ish, with the unusual battery, a piano, a chorus, and a hurdy-burdy(Which accompanies the battery). Nice voice from Eri Kawai. But at the middle of the song a big turnaround happens, and the melody sounds from normal pop style to heavenly yelled celtic. The shinobue sounds gives a tempting disarmonized yet focused sequence of notes, and the drums give an unexplainably beautiful rythm. Perfect.

14. Circle of eternity.
Sweet short sonata. The piano played by Mitsuda himself expresses 'eternity' in a simple yet focused melody. It is so simple yet impressive the way it inspires the spectator. I believe one of Mitsuda's intention with this song was to make the fan play the song in his keyboard or piano, since he includes in the 'KiRite' package it's small partiture. Simple and touching.
18.5 out 20.
So that's it. A quite impresive album that competes with 'Sailing to the world'(Expect a review on it form me soon). Overall, I enjoyed the album as much as any other Mitsuda's Game OST, because as you may already know, 'KiRite' is not an OST of any kind. It is an independent album inspired by 'The book of five seasons' from Masato Kato. If you haven't bought this album but you like excellent music (even if you don't know who Mitsuda-san is), then buy it right know. You have my word that is a great, inspiring and loveable album.
