hey guys, im trying to get into video game music production and related stuff, im thinking of going to the musicians institute out in california, seesm like a pretty cool place, anybody know of it here?

a couple years ago i emailed them for info and they ended up calling me up and trying to get me in their bass guitar program...

they are basically in the heart of the popular music industry in terms of location and instruction...and from what i've been told it's a very hands-on oriented approach to teaching.

However, it's limited to popular music (i.e. rap, rock, pop), and mostly focuses on performance and i don't think it would be the right place for people interested in VGM.

A regular college degree in music might end up being more helpful.
