Hi.. my name is Dan Johansen..
Im a active musician without a project to work on , I have a few original tunes I would like to share and get replies on, I recently sent a demo CD with 13 tunes to Yasunori, I dont know if he have revieved the demo, but here is three of the tunes I sent to him, any response is good..
The Tracks could've fitted in a game..

can you use yousendit.com instead? I don't feel to register to something I'll use once in my life.

Hey Dan. I just finished listening to your pieces and I loved them. Frantic and beautiful. "Clash Into the Unknown" is soooo epic. I really hope Mitsuda listens to these works. What was your goal in sending them to him? Hopefully he can plug you into a project. Your compositional skills are good enough and you definitely know your equipment.
I'm a composer myself and I can't get the sound quality you have here. What software do you use and where how do I get my instruments to sound so real like yours do? I use Sonar and I have a crappy CASIO CT-700. I can't afford better stuff right now so I'm just trying to milk it for all that it's worth. I'd love for you to hear some of my stuff sometime. It's not posted on the internet anywhere so I don't know how to get it to you other than attaching the MP3 file to an e-mail, but if you want to hear it I'd be happy to e-mail them to you.
So, is there any chance of hearing the other songs that were on the disc you sent to Mitsuda-san? Best of luck with everything. Maybe we'll be seeing Dan Johansen in the credits of a game here pretty soon.

You shouldn't have sent it to Mitsuda...
You should have sent it to Sakimoto :D

In fact send it to both of them. They will both like it!
Very good stuff. My favourite is the last one "City of Ice". Sounds Sakimoto-ish

hi hi .. well.. no musician should tell others exactly what they use, because it would lower the overall originality of Different sounds if more people use the same software combinations and general equipment, althought I would like to recommend Samples from Spectrasonics..

And sure man!.. I would like to hear your stuff.. send it to my mailbox which is 'lunarheartheaven@yahoo.com' I will let you know what I think of them.. my pleasure..

And Thanks for the review man!.. appreciate it, glad you like my music..
I will post more of my music here soon if people give me more replies, but Ill let you hear them if you like with time..
haha, I hope I can get into a Game project or a movie project or something like that, but I cant be sure about anything, since its extremely hard to get into the business these days..

Thank you for taking interest, I look forward to hearing your music!
