Any idea when the fan club section will be updated? I would like to join.

I joined the Japanese fan club, "Hopeful Weeds" in 2003. I wonder if they'll still let people who don't live in Japan join the club now that there is an "English" version section? You get a free wallet-size cd and some quarterly newsletters from the man himself...I believe it cost me around $30 a year, but I have long since left... I believe even the Cocoebiz administrator (Kahori) is in the club if I remember right! : ) Anyone else in Hopeful Weeds?

The link on the Japanese site doesn't work anymore when you click "How to Join." Hmm.

As soon as the fan club section of his english site opens up, I'll probably be joining that club :)

I too joined the Hopeful Weeds Fanclub in 2003 and have been renewing my membership ever since. It's unfortunate that the "how to join" link isn't working properly, but I believe you can contact them and make a request to join or perhaps even mail Kahori so that Cocoebiz can relay the message.

On a site note for those that are a part of HW: Does anyone have a copy of the first newsletter? Unfortunately it's out of print and I have been looking for a copy or even scans of the first volume. Any help would be much appreciated. :)

Hello...
I'm new here! :)
I'm really like Mr. Yasunori Mitsuda's songs!
Especially the Chrono Cross game!
All of the song are very good! I like it very much!
If I hear the "Arni Village" song, it makes me feel I'm really in Arni Village!
It's because the bird's voice... and also the music...
And "Radical Dreamer" song, sometimes when I hear that...
It makes me feel comfortable...
Well, that's all. Thank you very much! :)

Welcome Diva!
Mitsuda is truly a genius! Have you listened to his other less reconised works?
I think that his best less reconised works is an cinniuint ~ Tsugunai OST. It has the heart of Chrono Cross and the soul of Xenogears. A masterpeice.

Go Mitsuda!

For the moment it seems like they aren't accepting any new memberships. Fans who renewed their membership before June will still be accepted, but those who planned to renew their memberships from June onwards, as well as new members won't. The reason for this will mentioned in the newsletter to be issued in the latter half of March it seems. Here's a link to the info:

Mitsuda is truly a genius!

This is most true.

I love his Chrono Cross soundtrack as well. Tsugunai soundtrack? From the demos available at his site, it is a nice contendant.

Hi Claudio!

Sorry, but Mitsuda didn't compose Xenosaga Episode III. The whole score, as far as we know, was done by Yuki Kajiura, a well known anime composer, and was also one of the three composers for Xenosaga Episode II (alongside Shinji Hosoe and Ayako Saso for the in-game tunes). :)

As for Mitsuda's English website, it has been updated with fairly recent news. I hope you enjoy the new discography too!

As for Luminous Arc, Misuda has composed a few tracks. Not all tracks, but he does compose.

Is 02 Main BGM his song in 'Luminous arc'?

02 Main BGM is the theme, according to the information I found it was done by Shota Kageyama, and is track 3 on disc 1 of the OST. The Prelude, track 2 on disc 1 of the OST is by Mitsuda. Here is some more information I got:

Composed by:
Akari Kaida (Disc 1 - 4~10, 12, 16, 17, 19 / Disc 2 - 2~5, 7, 13, 14, 15)
Kazumi Mitome (Disc 1 - 1, 11, 13 / Disc 2 - 1, 6, 8~11, 20)
Shota Kageyama (Disc 1 - 3, 15, 18, 21 / Disc 2 - 12, 14)
Yasunori Mitsuda (Disc 1 - 2)

Akari Kaida & Shota Kageyama (Disc 1 - 14 / Disc 2 - 17)
Akari Kaida, Kazumi Mitome & Shota Kageyama (Disc 2 - 19)
Kazumi Mitome, Yasunori Mitsuda & Shota Kageyama (Disc 2 - 18)

Arranged by:
Shota Kageyama & Yasunori Mitsuda (Disc 1 - 1)
Shota Kageyama (Disc 2 - 18~20)
