Tanomi's DMC ost set wasn't quite personally alluring enough to make my purchase, as I didn't go crazy over the games, but I'll be ordering this new Garegga CD+DVD set for 100% certain =)

Next in the line-up for the same DVD treatment is Raiden Fighters, too!

Good thing we have Cocoebiz to represent our special orders! :D

This is probably easily answered, but I'm wondering about the DVD. Will this be region-free like the Sakuraba DVD or region 2 ?

Even if it's region 2, I'll still purchase this as it will allow me to see what we've all missed on this game(assuming it was never released State-side).

I received mine on Monday, thanks to the excellent (as always) service from CocoeBiz.

The DVD is region free. The menu text is in English. The sound is basic Dolby Digital stereo.

I checked out a few of the stage plays, and they're kinda weird. The player is definitely going for the highest score possible; that's obvious. What's strange is that he purposely sacrifices his ships until he has one or none left. I guess he did that to show off, but I was expecting to see some no-loss runs. Ah well...

I haven't gone through the book yet. I skimmed a few pages, and it seems all the text is in Japanese.

The book and DVD were bonuses for me; I just wanted the soundtrack. The original music is excellent, and a few of the arrangements are just as good. A few of the tracks reminded me of his work on Ke-Tsui and DoDonPachi DAI-OU-JOU (another great soundtrack). It should be the other way around because Battle Garegga came first... you know what I mean. :D

The set was definitely worth the purchase. I'm very pleased with it, and the music will stay with me for a long time. Thanks again to:

CocoeBiz (for the excellent service)
Tanomi (for allowing CocoeBiz to secure some of these)
Manabu Namiki (for composing such great music)
