Are you interested in the future release of the Devil May Cry 1 and 2 CD set for $85.00? I don't know how many discs will be included for this product, but seems like the price "7980yen plus shipping and cod fee" has been set. (by Tanomicom)
Since Capcom doesn't want international sales on the product, this might be special order if we are going stock this.
Thank you for your attention.

Update:

Devil May Cry 1 (2 discs set) 73 tracks of the original game sound.
Devil May Cry 2 (2 discs set) 51 tracks of the original game sound.
plus an American comic of Devil May Cry with the 1st print only.

If all we're getting is a two-disc OST, then that's definitely too much. If they're going to charge that much, they should wait until after DMC3 comes out and make it a trilogy collection plus a fourth arranged disc or something like that.

Update:
Four a four-disc set, the price is still on the high side (I think Ñ5000-6000 would be more appropriate), but I might consider it depending on what else is coming out at the time and how my CD budget is. I don't think you mentioned this yet, but when is this set being released?

It is indeed a bit high....(especially for the few Canadians who come here), but hey, it's a Collector's Item :D

2 CD Sets for each OST ? Does that mean all or most of the tracks are looped ?

*re-reads description*

Only #2 would have loops, but still.... that's progress.

My final answer : Yes, I'd buy it despite the somewhat high price. I'm a collector of these..... and I've spent more for some Single Disc albums... "The Complete Soundtrack to The "Secret of Evermore" Video Game", anyone ? ;)

I've been pursuing this on the tanomi boards, and I appreciate your efforts Kahori, so I voted "yes", I am interested in getting this at whatever price you can afford to sell it at. Thanks!

I'm leaning towards Choice B ("B. I am not sure but it seems OK though, so I might order it"). I definitely want a DMC 1 OST, but I don't really like DMC2's music. $85 is kinda high, but if the set (or just DMC 1) does get released, I'll probably get it. I still have to think about it a bit though because $85 is a lot for a 4 CD set.

Yes!! I'd gladly pay the money for this 4 CD set. I know it's a bit high, but considering its collector's value, I think it'd be well worth it. :D

Ya, I think I would pay that much for the 4 CD set despite the fact that CAPCOM does not to offer it outside of Japan.

I think that $36 would be an acceptable price for a 4 disc set. $85 would be a good price for a 8-10 disc set.

I don't think anyone here realizes that this is NOT a four disc set. This is two seperate two disc sets that will sell for 3990 Yen each. It just happens Tanomicom is only selling them together for now. If it was just one four disc set, the price would definitely be cheaper (probably close the price for the Rockman X 1-6 OST). That said, I am definitely interested in the albums, despite the price.

Kahori I would have paid $200 each for your Megaman Collections as I am an avid collector. I have waited like most a long time for an announcement like this but speaking solely for myself charge what you will for the Devil May Cry OST's to me they are well worth the mullah. :D

This is Dan C btw thanks for the dust covers they worked like a charm.

This seems overpriced, as the Rockman X1-6 collection (5 discs) cost under $60. It was brought up that these are two individual albums that cost about $40 each, which is also overpriced when compared to NTT's albums (my Chrono Trigger & FF6 3-disc albums cost less than these DMC 2-disc albums). But, to we avid collectors, that hefty price tag won't stop all of us.

It's probably the some argument over the price between composer and publisher. If the composer has full rights to the music, the composer may have told Capcom to go higher in price.

If the price is going to be this high, I expect a small print run to preserve the collector value.

8) As far as I am concerned as long as it's released, it can be in limited quantities. I remember when the Rockman Collection came out and was in limited quantity. It was there-after given a second release once more people/collectors knew it existed. Same goes for the X Collection. "it is still my most sold unit on ebay so thanks to you and Capcom for restocking it"

Releasing a limited quantity will kick-start sales, because from personal experience if your friends see that you have it and are a fan of the series they will have to have it too.

I dream of listening to Phantom & Griphon's boss music that's not 1 time through ripped garbage from an FTP site. :)

I'd definitely get it. I'd been waiting for this come along so long that I almost gave in to purchasing The Sacred Hearts DVD published by a "fake" company. $85 may seem a bit steep but then again Tanomi is offering it directly for about $75 right? I don't mind paying that little bit more to get it stateside on my doorstep. Keep up the efforts, Kahori!

Sheesh, 2 discs for each soundtrack? Crazy. DMC1's soundtrack was a lot better than 2, but I'd still get both, even though the price is pretty hefty. I want to strangle Capcom for trying to restrict it being sold internationally, that's just asinine. I'm getting tired of video game companies not promoting VGM when they should, and continously shoving away the opportunity to bring it to the U.S.

But all things considered, I guess I would buy the soundtrack, especially since it's so hard to find every single track from the game all in one. They only had about 20 select tracks on the The Sacred Heart DVD, and I was left wanting more.

Hello everyone,

Thank you very much for your time for this survey.
We have finally determined to take special orders on the Devil May Cry 1
and 2 Original Soundtrack CD Set. We expected to get this item for a
better sales condition, but the situation is not easy for us to take
this order, but decided to offer this special order as long as we can do
something for this product.
First of all, we thought we could offer this product for $85.00, which
is mentioned in the survey here, but the cost for getting this product
become higher than we expected. We can offer this special order for this
price 10500yen (around $96.33), plus shipping. Thank you very much for your
understanding.

Please read the information page before you place your order, and feel
free to ask us if you have any questions.
Thank you very much for your time.

Deepest regards,
CocoeBiz

Thank you for your message.
Actually, Tanomicom charges the product plus shipping and COD handling, so the total is more than $75.00 and even over $80.00.
So the final cost that we could offer become a bit higher than we expected. Sorry :(

Thank you so much Kahori for sticking up for us collectors and fans of the series we love. I have been a fan of CocoBiz since the release of the Rockman 1-6 Collection "first print" and would rather give you my hard earned money than any other for the effort you and your staff put in to bringing the select titles to our hands. :D October is definitely going to be a good month for Dante Now I just hope Capcom will release DMC3's ost after Dec. :?

8) Think you could persuade Sakimoto San to release an Ikaruga ost lol...

I just figured out I'd would cost me about 150$ CAD........ My credit card is going to cry. I think it's still worth it.

I wasn't going to buy it originally, even though I wanted it. But, figured if I move around some of my orders I'll be able to afford it. Heck, I voted for these on the last survey, so I felt by buying it, it would help in more surveys actually getting CDs out... :D

Not sure what the shipping will end up being, but from my calculations as to what's listed on the site, it came out to about $137. Won't mind paying more, but hope it's not too much more! ;)

Anyway, I have been hoping this would be released for sometime now. I just hope we don't have to go through the same with DMC 3. Capcom really ought to use their brains more. There is more a market for OSTs like these than they seem to believe! Really, I am getting tired of having to rely on game rips to hear such music! :(

I hope it's a very good chance. The better DMC1/2 sells, the more likely we will see an OST for DMC 3 as well...
