Favorite horror soundtrack

Just interested to see what people think about horror game music :twisted:

Whether or not the music from the game was released onto a soundtrack, what is your favorite horror game music?

Personally, its hard for me to reduce it to a single game/ost. But, a few of the best horror tunes I've ever heard from a game/ost include:

*Exploring Mordant Street Apartments, and the Asylum Playrooms (both from SHADOW MAN)

*All of Silent Hill OST, ESPECIALLY "Never Again"

*Silent Heaven (From Silent Hill 2 OST)

*Music from CLOCK TOWER, especially when Scissorman is chasing you!

*Music from FORBIDDEN SIREN, speaking of which, I'm disappointed there is no soundtrack release for this game!

*Finally the music from ETERNAL DARKNESS that plays when you go fully insane with most of the characters (Cries and screaming)

I really dig most of the resident evil scores

Silent hill 2 is amazing, 3 is ok

does Galerians ASH count? this composer maybe better than Yamaoka.



I also dig over blood 1 and 2 very cool

blood the last vampire is amazingly bueatiful.

Baroque by Masaharu Iwata. But this is much more than a horror soundtrack. I love it !

And Silent Hill 2 and 3 are great.

I love SubGate of Cardon Forest from the Rockman Dash OST. I know it's not a horror game, but the song itself is creepy.

Other than Resident Evil and Silent Hill, Alone in the Dark on 3DO brings me good memories.

I loved music from Splater House on turbograph16 long ago.

Agreed with TerraEpon... Parasite Eve would win by a lot if it were allowed. That being said, Eternal Darkness probably has my favorite soundtrack of any horror game (and ED isn't even really Survival Horror... it's much more just a very dark adventure game).
