For those who have heard the "Xenosaga Freaks Reservation CD" here's another Namco album to look into, since they did a cover-song of the catchy vocal title to Namco's puzzle game soundtrack "Kotoba no Pazuru Mojibittan OST".
Track 3 "Our Xenopittan" is a cover song of track 9 "The Two Mojibittan", so they share the same background music bed, but altering the lyrics to fit the Xenosaga theme instead of the puzzle character theme.
I kinda like it when vgm albums can cross-reference other musical pieces from other games in the company's line up, and the most obvious example would be Konami's Parodius series using the Gradius series music.
So it seems Namco had a little fun and gave it a shot too =)
The "Kotoba no Pazuru Mojibittan OST" (STF-0012, on the STF/ULF label) also plays around with arrange versions of other popular Namco theme music, such as Mappy, Pac-Man, Mr.Driller, Klonoa, and Taiko no Tatsujin.
